Where to Park Your Needle

When you are not stitching and wish to park your needle, never place it in the worked area of your stitches.  The needle will distort the grid and an unsightly bump may appear and become permanent.

It is best to park your needle on the side of the canvas.  If your project is a printed canvas, place the needle in the unpainted area.

If you prefer, purchase a needle minder simular to the one below.  This is a pretty charm with a magnetic backing that is attached to the canvas with a second magnet on the lower side of your canvas.  At the time you want to stop, place your needle on top of the minder and it will stay secure until you disire to stitch again.
