Alternating Flat Stitch

Uses:  Clothes, Buildings, Borders (one or more rows), Foliage, Backgrounds, Sky, Clouds

Begin stitching in the right hand corner starting with a Continental stitch.  Below this, create a stitch traveling over 2 canvas intersections.  Now, sew one over 3 and 4 intersections.  Finish the square stitching over 3, 2 and then back down to 1.  Repeat this process over again to create another square.  Be sure to make each square traveling in the oposite direction from the previous one.
