Check & Variation Stitches

Uses:  Stars, Accent, Samplers

Check can be used to create the illusion of a meadow of daisies or a starry nght sky.  It is fast to work and has a lot of impact on the canvas.  The corners are void.  Use Continental to fill the areas.  Try stacking the stitches close together for a unique look.

Stitch the vertical lines first using the numbering system.  When this has been completed, work the horizontal ones.

For a quick variation, use two colors.  One color for the horizontal and another for the vertical.
