Chop Sticks Stitch

Getting Harder

Uses:  Fields, Clothes, Hair, Foliage, A bowl of rich

When I first made this stitch, it reminded me of a bowl of rice.  However, the name Rice had been taken-so, I figured, what do you eat your rice with other than Chop Sticks?  This hard wearing stitch can be used in almost any project.

To work, notice the graph.  You will see a Continental, reversed Continental and a slanted stitch in a gray square.  This is the pattern repeat.  Create this group in vertical rows on the canvas.  When you reach the bottom of the area, just repeat this combination moving up the canvas.
