Diagonal Shell Stitch
AKA: Interlocking Shell
Wheat Sheaf
Uses: Fields, Samplers
Lumps and bumps on the canvas are the typical resulf or Diagonal Shell.
Take a look at the first graph. You will see how to make one Diagonal Shell. Make four stitches on the canvas. To complete the stitch, come up at A and back down at B catching the four parallel stitches. All four parallel stitches should be tied together. You are now ready to make the next stitch bundle.
Note: you can stitch with one or two colors or threads depending upon the effect you wish to create.
