Doublet Stitch

A dark thread, a dull thread, a shiny thread and a metal thread are all required for creating Doublet.  This is a truly unique stitch.

Stitch the large yellow crosses in your dark thread.  This is the foundation.  Next, you will use a dull thread to make the red vertical and horizontal lines on the graph.  Use a shiny thread for the green diagonal lines and a metal for Detached Chain.  You have now completed Doublet.

This stitch is best used as an all-over pattern, or in a sampler.
